A Premier Cru on the left bank of the Serein, Côte de Jouan is located near the village of Courgis. It has very stony ground, which is made up of Kimmeridgian limestone marl and clay soil, which contributes to its pronounced mineral expression. |
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay.
Average vine age: 30 years.
Winemaking and maturation: Stainless steel vats.
Maturation on lees for between 10 and 12 months.
Tasting: An elegant nose with aromas of almond, peach,
and chalk. Distinguished and
mineral palate.
Ageing potential: 10 years.
Vintage available for sale: 2020.
